Sustainability

our profitability depends on a delicate balance of responsible use of our natural resources, healthy communities and growing economies.

Leaving Sustainable Footprints for Future Generations.

PhoenixEarth Initiative is the sustainability pole of Phoenix Beverages Group to support sustainable development in Mauritius. It consists of the planning as well as the implementation of all Phoenix Beverages Group’s current and future sustainability programmes including the application of international best practices. The objective is to contribute towards a sustainable future for our island by understanding the growing issues and impact that resources can have on the environment.

Good Health and Well-Being

PhoenixEarth’s health and safety programme aims to provide safe working conditions and health support for team members of the Phoenix Beverage Group.

This was particularly important from the start of the Covid-19 pandemic where strict protocols were implemented to ensure the health and safety of our team members and customers.

Decent Work and Economic Growth

Our activities create jobs and support the businesses of our customers.

We are a significant employer and taxpayer; making a positive contribution to the economic growth of the countries we operate in.

Industry Innovation & Infrastructure

We work through this SDG by taking actions towards solutions relating to other solid wastes such as electronics, plastics, cans and cartons in our manufacturing process.

Technological advancement is also essential for long-term solutions to economic and environmental concerns, such as creating new employment and increasing energy efficiency. Sustainable development may be aided by promoting sustainable industries and investing in scientific research and innovation.

Responsible Consumption & Production

One of the greatest global challenges is to integrate environmental sustainability with economic growth and welfare by decoupling environmental degradation from economic growth and doing more with less. Resource decoupling and impact decoupling are needed to promote sustainable consumption and production patterns and to make the transition towards a greener and more socially inclusive global economy.

Climate Action

Climate change is caused by anthropogenic emissions of CO2 and other greenhouse gasses. Climate change impacts natural and human systems globally through the increase globally averaged surface temperature, extreme weather events, changing precipitation patterns, rising sea levels and ocean acidification.
